Parchment Christmas cards

I did not make many Parchment Christmas cards this year, so this post will be short and sweet. Snowflakes were my main theme and I used a rubber stamp and templates for the images.

Ornaments and boxes

I have made some ornaments and little gift boxes for the little ones in our family. The ornaments are 3x3 mini canvas and the boxes I made from my stash of 12 x 12 Christmas paper stacks. I used 3D stickers, die cuts, ribbon and little embellishments for the ornaments

Tim Holz Christmas Tree

When I saw a card on Pinterest using this die I knew I had to have it. The tree is so elegant and the card really doesn't need anything else. The die works well with all the card stock and foil paper I tried it on, I even used some glittery gift wrap. Here is a link to this die Woodlands Die Tim Holz.

Using my stash

Every year I tell myself "no more new stuff, use what you have". This year I have really tried to use my stash, but there are so many wonderful new dies, images, rubber stamps and papers tempting me. Ok back to this post. The papers are from a paper pack I bought a few years ago. The rubber stamp is also an older one. I stamped and heat embossed onto parchment paper, did a simple border and then layered with gold and patterned paper.

Sunflower Sprite by Aurora Wings

I have add this little guy printed off and hidden in my stash of "to do" projects.
I have finally managed to find the inspiration to colour this Aurora Wings Sunflower Sprite digital image. I have used my trusty ProMarkers for the colouring. The corner was die cut with a Tim Holz Mixed Media die. The sentiment is from Crafter's  Companion Crisalis Classics - A Morning Stroll.

Time for another fairy

Today I have used a free fairy which came in my April Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. There were 3 fairy stamps, a lovely embossing folder and some patterned paper. The background stamp is from Stampin Up! " Something Lacy", which I love. This I stamped and heat embossed on a piece of vellum an did a bit of cut work. The fairy is stamped and coloured with ProMarkers. Pretty
quick card once I had figured all the details out.

Fairy Tangles

I just love the Norma Burnell Fairy images. The 2 I am showing today are the Dragon Queen and Spring Fairy. I have coloured them both with Polychromas Pencils. Printed on parchment paper and worked a lace border around them.I have kept the cards very simple as there is so much detail in the images. Enjoy!

Playing with Aquamarkers

I wanted to use my Aquamarkers on parchment paper. The end result was not quite what I was looking for. My paint brush was a little to wet and the painting on the face looks blotchy because the paper buckled. The rest of the image turned out ok as I then started using an almost dry brush and taking the colour from the marker and than painting on the parchment. Oh well will try this again. The image is from Norma Burnell.

New Kenny K cards

Been out of action for a while and have finally managed to make some cards. I have used Kenny K's Lady Victoria for these cards only because I had them printed and sitting in my to do folder. The first one is a St Patrick's theme card and the second has no real reason lol.

The same but different.

Snowflake Fairy

First post for 2016 is a gorgeous digital stamp from Moonflower Digital stamps. I know Christmas is over but Winter is still here. I started this working on this image a few weeks ago, but lost my mojo. I have Printed her on Parchment paper done some embossing on the back and coloured her with Polychromas pencils. I have used sticky ink on her wings and the snowflakes and of course added glitter.
Hope 2016 will be a good one for you.
