Stamping on Vellum

Today I am posting a card I made from http://creativeexpressionsdesigns.wordpress.com.
I subscribe to their workshops and this card was just calling out to me. I love parchment work and while this is not the traditional parchment technique I think it still gives off that special look. I have used some very old rubber stamps on the border and a Joanna Sheen stamp from her Evening and Bridal Dress collection.
The backing paper is from The Heirloom Stack (DCWV). The die cuts are Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles. The sentiment is from the Crafter's Companion Frou Frou collection.

Senior Citizen ......no way

It seems most of my friends are or about to be classified as a Senior Citizen, nooooo, I am not ready yet lol. Oh well time to make a batch of cards specially for this age group. This card is for a friend who is away in South Africa celebrating his 60th. birthday so he will only get it when he gets back to the USA. I have quite a few wild life and animal stamps so thought this would be appropriate. I have stamped my lion with a sepia ink pad onto some shimmery ivory paper and layered onto chocolate brown card. I managed to find some animal print handmade paper in my stash and added that for some texture. I kept it clean and simple.

Short and sweet post for today

I have just finished this card and thought it would be an appropriate one for a Valentine/ Love theme. The image is of course from Kenny K and I have used a non traditional colour, an old heart punch and dusted off my  Polychromas pencils to do the colouring.

Hearts hearts everywhere......

Thought I should get with the programme and make at least one Heart/Love/Valentine card this month. I took out my trusty Cuttlebug and some very old heart embossing folders well 4 of them to be exact. This project ended up being a "use your scraps" type of card. The green parchment is from my stash of about 12 years ago lol. Doily came from my mother in law and the gems belonged to the girls when they were still into all those shiny embellishments. I embossed the hearts in a row on the parchment and then did some lace work around the edges and some perforations between the hearts, added the heart shaped gems stamped a greeting and voila!
Hope you enjoy this card, just something a little different.

A little stamping for a change

I have drawers full of stamps, so this time I decided to use them, with the ease of Digital stamps I do tend to pick them before my rubber stamps. This stamp is from the Crafter's Companion "Frou Frou" range. I have stamped her with Momento and coloured her with my Spectrum Noir markers, cos I haven't used those in a while either lol. The die cut is from Spellbinders and the gift is a peel off. I am entering this in the Addicted to Stamps "Clean and Simple" challenge

I hear Music

Love to have music playing while I craft, anything is fine and sometimes I will find myself singing along, lol.
Made this card just because, well I am trying to clear my area of half finished projects. I came across this digi I had printed off but never got round to using so here it is. Once again a KennyK digi (can you tell I love them) and coloured with ProMarkers of course the papers are from the Performance Stack by DCWV.

A bit of Sparkle to start the week

Been pretty dreary the last week or so rain, snow and wind. Hope to put a bit of sparkle in your day with my new card and maybe  we can look forward to some sunny summer days. I can dream can't I.
The image is Kenny K 's mermaid digi coloured with my ProMarkers and used my Xyron to add the glitter to one of the layers. I have also used a Spellbinders labels die and their seashell impressabilites for the embossing.
