Playing with Aquamarkers

I wanted to use my Aquamarkers on parchment paper. The end result was not quite what I was looking for. My paint brush was a little to wet and the painting on the face looks blotchy because the paper buckled. The rest of the image turned out ok as I then started using an almost dry brush and taking the colour from the marker and than painting on the parchment. Oh well will try this again. The image is from Norma Burnell.

New Kenny K cards

Been out of action for a while and have finally managed to make some cards. I have used Kenny K's Lady Victoria for these cards only because I had them printed and sitting in my to do folder. The first one is a St Patrick's theme card and the second has no real reason lol.

The same but different.

Clean and Simple

A very quick card today. Coloured paper from my stash. I have used the old Fiskars Embossing plate set: Summer Lovin' to emboss the sun pattern. I layered the sentiment from Make-it-Crafty and finished off with a bit of glitter.

Snowflake Fairy

First post for 2016 is a gorgeous digital stamp from Moonflower Digital stamps. I know Christmas is over but Winter is still here. I started this working on this image a few weeks ago, but lost my mojo. I have Printed her on Parchment paper done some embossing on the back and coloured her with Polychromas pencils. I have used sticky ink on her wings and the snowflakes and of course added glitter.
Hope 2016 will be a good one for you.

Christmas cards all done and mailed

What a sense of achievement when you finish 81 Christmas cards and have them all mailed by the 1st week in December. I generally try to start them around August and make about 3/4 a week. Well here a some of the ones I have made.
Parchment card from a pattern in a Parchment Craft magazine.
Using the negative of snowflake dies with a glittered background

This one was inspired from Pinterest
Another Parchment card using a template from
ParchCraft Australia and working a grid border
Stamped image from Stampin Up
once again worked on a grid on Parchment

Final one for now. Combined 2 Parch Craft Australia
templates and coloured with pens and glitter.

Parchment Grid Work

I needed to brush up on my Parchment grid work skills. I have used the same grid pattern on to different grids. The larger piece was worked on the PCA Bold Straight grid and the smaller piece on the Pergamano MultiGrid # 4. I have worked the embossing on both grids on the back of the paper and then turned the grid over with the paper still attached. Working through the grid I perforated the pattern using a Pergamano 4 needle tool (::) and a PCA 3 needle tool (...).The inside image for the larger piece came from the PCA Easy Emboss Christmas Coaster set and the snowflake (discontinued) in the smaller piece is a Pergamano rubber stamp. I have used a fairly new product called Sticky Ink and glitter on both images.
The whole point of this exercise was to see the size difference in the grids.
Now I need to make them into cards and send them off.
