Last post for 2013

This will be my last post for 2013 and I want to wish you all the best for 2014, I know I for one am going to be glad to see the New Year. I am writing up a list of things I want to achieve next year, not resolutions, just goals. So ending this year with one last challenge on KennyK's Krafty Krews "Anything Goes". Dies are Spellbinders and Memory Box, and bling and glitter from my stash. Entered in Whimsy Inspirations Challenge.

Masculine Cards the bane of my llife

Not sure if others also have difficulty making a card for a young male adult, specially if he is your daughter's boyfriend. She asked me to make him a card but of course she had to vet it first before it could go to him. Once again I used a KennyK image which I thought would be perfect for him as he is a C&W music fan.

Card with a gift for a Crafty Friend

I have just finished this card with a little section to add a little gift. This type of card was very popular a few years ago. I have used a KennyK digi image, Spellbinders dies for the Snowflake and the tag. The little containers are filled with glitter and flocking.

Birthdays and Weddings coming up.

Thank goodness I have completed all my Christmas cards, mow I can concentrate on the birthdays and weddings that are coming up. Twin girls have a birthday this month and I thought these rubber stamp images by Elisabeth Bell were just perfect for them. Once again I have used my ProMarkers to colour and Spellbinders for the die-cuts. The papers are from my stash. I am entering this card in the Card Crafter's Circle Tread Lightly - Pastel Colours

Not a Christmas card for a change

This weeks post is just a fun card with no Christmassy feel to it. I decided to go bright and cheery before the dreary winter weather sets in. I have used "All That" digital stamp from Kenny K. Used my ProMarkers and sentiment stamp from Crafter's Companion Frou Frou Never Too Early stamp set. Entering this in KennyK Pumps and Pearls challenge.

Digital stamping meets Old School Parchment

I haven't made a parchment card in ages, so decided to combine one of my favourite digital stamps (Kenny K of course) with old school parchment work. By old school I mean placing the parchment over the paper pattern with tape and perforating through the parchment and the paper just the way I was first taught, before all the grids became fashionable. I must admit I cheated a bit by printing the image onto the parchment but that is because I don't think my tracing skills would do the image justice. I used Faber Castell Polychromos pencils to colour from the back and front. The cut work border was from an old Pergamano Christmas pattern C18. The snowflake punches are from various punches and dies I have.
