Faux Parchment my newest creations

Well I think I am officially hooked on embossing folder parchment work. I know it is not anything like the real thing but for quick cards that look like they have taken a long time to do, I can deal with that.
It is important to use the genuine parchment paper to avoid the paper cracking and tearing when you re work it. I also find if I emboss a piece of card stock as well as the parchment it protects the parchment a little more.
The first on I am going to show you was just re-embossed on certain areas to whiten up the pattern. I then used Tim Holz  Distress Ink Broken China and Victorian Velvet on the back of the design. The folder is Anna Griffin Foulard.

The second folder is a Darice folder Butterflies in the corner
There was no need to re-emboss any portion of this folder once I had put it thru the Grand Calibur. I did some lace work and embossing on the butterflies and used my Wink of Stella brush from Zig to add a little sparkle to the dots and the punched butterfly. I stamped a sentiment from Justrite Stampers added a bow and some gems.

Enjoy

  1. These look beautiful. Faux parchment would be a good tool for me to have while I'm learning ;)
